On August 6, 2006, it was officially decided that I shall learn to fly.
Really it was decided on February 5, 1999, when the Husband-to-be proposed and I accepted. It just took 7.5 years to sink in.
You see, he is something of a general-aviation nut. Right now, he's IFR with 270ish hours.
So why August 6, 2006? Well, that's when we officially became 1/4 owners of our first plane -- a 1968 Cessna 172I Skyhawk. It makes plenty of sense for me to learn to drive it, eh?
